In this example, the X drive represents the network drive that you have advised Bua Software you use. If you use a different drive letter, replace X with that letter throughout these instructions.

Prepare your network

1. Make sure that all PCs which will use BuaTransmittals have read-write access to the X drive
2. Make sure that all PCs have this drive mapped to the letter X

Consult your IT provider if you have a problem with these steps

Copy files to network

This need only be done once.

1. Put the BuaTransmittals CD any PC
2. Copy the entire folder BuaTransmittals into the root of the X drive – do not put it into another folder; the address of this folder should be X:/BuaTransmittals
3. Copy the entire folder Microsoft Access Runtime into the root of the X drive
4. Right-click on the BuaTransmittals folder in the X drive
5. Click Properties
6. Remove the tick from the Read Only box
7. Click OK

Install on local PCs

This must be done once on each of the PCs that will use BuaTransmittals.

1. Browse to the X drive
2. Open the folder BuaTransmittals
3. Find the file Shortcut to Bua Transmittals and copy it to the desktop of the local PC

Install Microsoft Access runtime

These steps are only required if Microsoft Access 2003 or higher is not installed on the PC which will use BuaTransmittals. It must be done of the PCs that will use BuaTransmittals.

1. Browse to the X drive
2. Open the folder Microsoft Access Runtime
3. Double-click on the Windows Installer file ACCESSRT.MSI
4. Follow the instructions on screen for installing the Microsoft Access Runtime

Install VoIP client

This step is optional. If you have broadband internet access, installing VoIP will allow you to make cheap or free telephone calls via your computer. If your VoIP client supports callto links, BuaTransmittals can dial telephone numbers in your contacts screen automatically.

You will need a headset or other audio device to use VoIP. VoIP telephone calls are provided by a third party of your choice and Bua Software takes no responsibility their cost, quality or availability.

Registry change

Depending on your Microsoft Windows installation, you may get an error message when you click on a Call button in BuaTransmittals. To remove this, open the folder X:\BuaTransmittals and double-click on the file FixHyperLinkError.reg, and then click Yes.
